El Modena High School students Shannon Jennings, Alyssa Lentz and Alexandra Seville each presented a five minute speech on the Rotary theme “Peace Through Service” at the annual contest sponsored by Orange Sunrise Rotary on February 27, 2013.
Shannon, a senior, placed first and junior Alyssa took second place. All three young women received small cash awards for their participation. Shannon will advance to the Rotary District 5320 area competition, to be held March 23rd at Orange Coast College.
