District 5320 Cruise Conference

April 4, 2025 April 7, 2025

Once you register for the conference, a Cruise Connections representative will contact you to finalize your cabin selections and collect payment for the cruise itself.

We are joining two other districts (Districts 5220 and 5230) on a Royal Caribbean Cruise from Friday April 4 to Monday morning, April 7, 2025.

   1.   We will board the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas and set sail for Ensenada, Mexico on the afternoon of Friday, April 4. We will leave from San Pedro and return Monday morning, April 7.

   2.   This is a family-friendly cruise that is all-inclusive. Your stateroom lodging, food, most non-alcoholic beverages, and entertainment are included. Because it is a cruise ship, there are various amenities you may want to enjoy for additional fees.

   3.   There will be plenty of free time to allow for more fellowship and fun.

   4.   We currently plan on having a combined Rotary reception on Friday evening. I expect this to turn into a Hospitality Afternoon/Night on steroids, as a no host cocktail reception will be available for Rotarians.

   5.   Saturday, the ship will be at sea while we are entertained and educated by presentations from several inspirational speakers. (Rumor has it that there are some big name speakers interested in attending. More on that to follow).

   6.   We currently have cabins blocked with Royal Caribbean, but those cabins will have to be released soon. So please do not delay in securing your reservation.

   7.   You may secure your cruise package with a deposit of just $100.00 per person, based on double occupancy. Deposits are fully refundable until January 19, 2025.

   8.   Kids ages 2 and under cruise free (except for taxes and gratuities). (This is a limited time offer).

   9.   Sunday, April 6, we will dock in Ensenada and have the opportunity to do a service project(s) with local Rotary District 4100.

   10.   We are working with Cruise Connections, a Rotary affiliated travel agency, that has blocked the rooms and is helping to coordinate registration.

Why did we make this change, you ask?

We made this decision for several reasons. First, we assessed the value proposition offered to Rotary by traditional venues for District Conferences (hotels, resorts, etc.) Those venues have become very expensive. We did not feel the benefits were commensurate with the costs. Second, the cruise offers each Rotarian family options to control expenses. The base cabin, based on double occupancy, will be approximately $580 per person for all 3 nights, and it includes all meals and most soft drinks, taxes and gratuities. Cabin upgrades are available for additional costs. We determined this offers our members excellent value for a 3 ½ day cruise with a built-in service project opportunity. (In addition, you have the opportunity to win back your expenses at the casino. This is my plan).  Third, the cruise affords a great opportunity for us to meet, network and have fun with Rotarians from other districts. If you have additional questions, please contact District Conference Chair, Brian Russell briancamprussell@gmail.com or our Cruise Connection contact, Wayne Wilkerson wawilkerson11@gmail.com or 703-855-5325)

This is going to a fun district conference.  I hope you can join us!
